According to Mr. Le Tien Tri, Head of the Southeast Economic Zone Management Board, from the beginning of 2023 to August 23rd, the economic zone has attracted a total FDI capital of 890 million USD. If nothing changes, in the next few days, investment certificates and licenses will be granted to two new projects, including one project worth 110 million USD and another worth 43 million USD, bringing the total capital to over 1.037 billion USD.

According to the Management Board of the Southeast Economic Zone, from July 15, 2023 to August 15, 2023, Nghe An province issued new Investment Registration Certificates for 3 projects with a total registered investment capital of VND 4,044.8 billion (including 1 FDI project with a total investment capital of VND 3,872.55 billion, equivalent to USD 165 million); in addition, 5 projects were adjusted. The total newly issued and adjusted capital is VND 4,044.8 billion.

To proactively attract investors, along with completing the 1/2000 functional zoning plans, making local adjustments in industrial parks, and promoting social infrastructure investment projects such as social housing for workers and experts; human resource training, etc., the Management Board of the Southeast Economic Zone and relevant departments closely follow the province's investment policies and continue to implement infrastructure projects within the Economic Zone.
Specifically, construction will continue on the road connecting N5 to the National Coastal Highway through Nghi Loc to the Cua Lo deep-water port, and the N2 road east of National Highway 1 in Dien Chau; construction will commence on the drainage system for the VSIP - Tho Loc Industrial Park and the road leading to Industrial Zone 30 with a total investment of 135 billion VND; and a proposal will be made to relocate the power lines in the VSIP - Tho Loc Industrial Park.


In addition, the Board continues to finalize the procedures for reporting to the Provincial People's Committee and submitting to the Provincial People's Council for approval the adjustment of the investment policy for the Resettlement Rescue Road project at Dong Hoi and Route No. 2, Road Area A - Nam Cam Industrial Park. Currently, the bidding for the construction package for relocating the 110 KV and 22 KV power lines under the railway overpass project at N2 has been completed. The Board continues to accelerate the construction progress and land clearance for 6 projects: N5-1 road, N2 road, railway overpass at N2 road, drainage canal along N5 road, N3 road; road to Hoang Mai 1 Industrial Park; and construction of WHA-2 drainage canal.
