Evacuating 21 Chut ethnic households in Rao Tre village to a safe place

(Baohatinh.vn) - Authorities of Phuc Trach commune (Ha Tinh) are assisting in evacuating 21 households with 58 people of the Chut ethnic group in Rao Tre village to a safe place to avoid heavy rain and landslides caused by storm No. 5.

Rao Tre village has 46 households and 160 people of the Chut ethnic group. Through the review of Phuc Trach commune, the village has 21 households with 58 people whose houses are not safe.

On the morning of April 24, Phuc Trach commune coordinated with the Giang village Border Guard Station to mobilize people and support forces to take shelter at the village's community cultural house, to prevent storm No. 5 from causing heavy rain and landslides.

Called and propagated by local authorities, border guards and socio- political organizations, households agreed and promptly coordinated to move to safer places.

Currently, the forces are continuing to purchase and transport necessary supplies to support people.

Along with 21 households in Rao Tre village, the entire Phuc Trach commune has about 100 households that must be evacuated to avoid storm No. 5. On the afternoon of August 24, the locality continued to coordinate to mobilize and support these households to move to safer places. At the same time, they proactively arranged high and safe locations such as schools, cultural houses, and offices for people to go to avoid storms and floods.

In addition, through screening, the whole commune has more than 20 points at risk of being isolated. Currently, the commune has developed a plan 4 on the spot, arranging forces ready to respond to the points. In which, each point must have enough military , police, medical forces... to support the people.
