At the National Economics University , Dr. Le Anh Duc, Head of the Training Management Department, said that looking at the exam score distribution this year, it can be seen that the admission scores to schools may be lower than in 2024, especially in groups with Math and English. The general decrease, according to Dr. Duc's prediction, is around 2-3 points. For the National Economics University in particular, the admission score may decrease by 1-2 points, depending on the major/program.

Regarding admission methods other than high school graduation exam scores, according to Mr. Duc, the benchmark scores between these methods must be converted to the equivalent of high school graduation exam scores, so the benchmark scores may also tend to be lower than in 2024.

In recent years, the admission score to the National Economics University based on high school graduation exam scores is commonly 26-27.5.

Last year, on a scale of 30, Public Relations had the highest score of 28.18, followed by E-commerce at 28.02. The remaining majors all had scores of 26.57 or higher. On a scale of 40, the highest admission threshold was 37.49 for Marketing Communications.

At the University of Commerce , MSc. Nguyen Quang Trung, Deputy Head of the Communications and Admissions Department, said that looking at the 2025 high school graduation exam score distribution, it can be seen that it is lower than the previous two years. Therefore, Mr. Trung predicted that this year's admission score will also decrease by about 1-2 points compared to last year.

However, according to Mr. Trung, the benchmark score depends on many factors. For example, this year, universities do not have separate quotas for each admission method. Therefore, the benchmark score depends on the number of candidates who are admitted based on their ability assessment scores, thinking assessment scores, or admissions that combine international certificates with academic records.

“If the number of candidates registering under this category is large, the benchmark score will not decrease much; but if few candidates register, the score will decrease relatively,” said Mr. Trung.

In addition, the admission score also depends on the attractiveness of the major. For majors that are less popular with candidates, the admission score may be lower than for “hot” majors that are popular with the school.

In recent years, the admission score to the University of Commerce has generally been 25-27, based on the high school graduation exam scores. Last year, the highest admission score belonged to the majors of Commercial Marketing and E-commerce with 27 points. This was followed by Logistics and Supply Chain Management with 26.9 points. These are also the three majors that have consistently led in recent years.

The University of Economics, Vietnam National University , Hanoi also predicted the admission scores for 6 regular domestic majors, including Economics, Finance - Banking, Development Economics, Business Administration, International Economics and Accounting from 22 points, calculated on a 30-point scale.

In previous years, this school used a 40-point benchmark, which was the total score of three subjects in a combination, in which the main subject was multiplied by a coefficient of 2, plus priority points. The common score for these majors at the school is about 33/40 points.

For example, last year, the admission scores for the majors of the University of Economics were almost the same, from 33.1 to 33.62 points, the highest being Finance - Banking.

Thus, according to forecasts, the admission score to the University of Economics, Vietnam National University, Hanoi in 2025 may decrease compared to previous years when calculated based on the average subject score.

Previously, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Dao Tung, Director of the Academy of Finance, also predicted that the admission scores for some majors of the academy in 2025 would decrease compared to last year.

It is predicted that the benchmark score range will range from 22 to 28, not as concentrated as last year (from 26.03 to 26.85 on a 30-point scale and from 34.35 to 36.15 on a 40-point scale). Some industries may decrease by 3-4 points compared to last year. However, for some industries with great appeal and demand for high-quality human resources, the benchmark score will still be high.

In recent years, the admission scores to the Academy of Finance are often divided into two scales of 30 and 40 points. On the scale of 40 with the English score multiplied by a factor of 2, the admission scores for majors are around 33-36, meaning an average of 8.2-9 points to pass. Among them, the “hottest” majors are Customs and Logistics. On the scale of 30, the admission scores are usually above 25.45.

Admission floor scores of a series of Northern medical schools in 2025 Most of the Northern medical schools have a floor score according to the Ministry of Education and Training's regulations from 17 to 20.5. Particularly, Hanoi Medical University and Thai Nguyen University of Medicine and Pharmacy have a floor score of 22.5 for Medicine and Dentistry.
