Tra On District Defense Area Exercise 2024

(VLO) On the morning of August 7, the Steering Committee for the Defense Zone Exercise (DZ) of Vinh Long province solemnly held the opening ceremony of the 2024 DZ Exercise in Tra On district (photo).

Mr. Lu Quang Ngoi - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Military Exercise Steering Committee, attended. Also attending were Mr. Nguyen Minh Dung - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council - directing Tra On district; Colonel Tran Minh Trang - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Commander of the Provincial Military Command, Deputy Head of the Provincial Military Exercise Steering Committee; Colonel Nguyen Trong Dung - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Director of the Provincial Police, Deputy Head of the Provincial Military Exercise Steering Committee.

The 2024 Tra On District Military Exercise with the theme "Transferring armed forces to combat readiness states, transferring localities to defense states, organizing preparations and practicing defensive operations" is structured into 3 stages: transferring armed forces to combat readiness states, transferring localities to defense states, organizing preparations for defensive operations and practicing defensive operations.

The official exercise took place on August 7 and 8 with many meetings on operating mechanisms, live-fire exercises using air bullets, explosives, etc.

The new point of this Tra On District KVPT Exercise is in the operation of the mechanism, the operation of A, A2 soldiers, especially this is the first district to practice A2 soldiers to destroy terrorists on the river.

This is also the first exercise mobilizing forces to participate in protecting security and order at the grassroots level, especially in the A2 exercise and performing tasks to ensure security and order for the exercise.

During the exercise, there are many forces in many locations, long distances, and many vehicles, so coordination and ensuring safety and secrecy during the exercise are very important; during the exercise, many types of weapons, equipment, air bullets, and support tools are used.

For the exercise to be successful, achieving the set goals, objectives and requirements, on behalf of the Provincial Steering Committee for the Exercise of Military Command, Mr. Lu Quang Ngoi directed the Party Committee, government, armed forces and participants of the exercise in the district to uphold the sense of responsibility, thoroughly grasp the instructions, plans and regulations on the exercise and identify this as an important political task of the district throughout the term.

Therefore, it is necessary to focus maximum intelligence, force, means, and materials on the drill, raise awareness, organize discipline, promote a high level of solidarity, organize close coordination, and strictly comply with the regulations in the drill to successfully complete assigned duties and tasks.
