At this session, the Provincial People's Council will review reports of the Provincial People's Committee on the implementation of the socio -economic development plan for 2025 and the 2021-2025 period, set out directions and tasks for 2026 and the 2026-2030 period, along with many other important thematic reports.
The Standing Committee, Committees of the People's Council, People's Court, People's Procuracy, and Civil Judgment Enforcement of the province will report on the results of activities in 2025 and the direction and tasks in 2026; the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ca Mau province will announce the work of participating in government building in 2025.

In addition, the Provincial People's Council delegates will discuss in the hall and exercise the right to question according to regulations; at the same time, discuss, consider and pass 35 Resolutions in various fields.
Speaking at the opening of the session, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Pham Van Thieu emphasized: 2025 is the final year of the 2021 - 2025 planning period, and is also the year when the province is affected by many adverse factors. However, with the drastic and effective direction and management of Party committees, authorities, sectors and levels, the consensus and high determination of the entire political system, the business community and the people, the implementation of the Resolution of the Provincial People's Council on the Socio-Economic Development Plan for 2025 and the 5-year period of 2021 - 2025 has achieved many outstanding and quite comprehensive results in all fields.
Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Pham Van Thieu requested the Provincial People's Council delegates to promote their role, spirit of innovation and creativity, continue to spend time carefully studying the documents, focus on discussing, giving opinions, expressing clear opinions and views on each content; accurately assess and analyze the situation, clarify advantages, disadvantages and causes; propose specific, feasible and effective solutions so that the Provincial People's Council can give opinions and vote on correct decisions that are in line with the people's wishes, and successfully complete the contents of the meeting's agenda.
At the meeting, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Pham Van Thieu announced the Prime Minister 's Decision approving the election results for the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province for the 2021-2026 term for Mr. Lu Quang Ngoi, Deputy Secretary of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.

Speaking at the meeting, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Huynh Quoc Viet emphasized: The 6th session of the People's Council for the 2021 - 2026 term is a very important session to comprehensively assess the implementation of socio-economic development tasks in 2025 and the entire 2021 - 2025 period, and set out plans for 2026 and the 2026 - 2030 period.
Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Huynh Quoc Viet proposed that the Provincial People's Council carefully review and evaluate the results achieved, difficulties, limitations and causes in 2025 as well as the period 2021 - 2025, as a basis for setting goals and tasks, building growth scenarios for 2026 and the period 2026 - 2030, striving to achieve a growth rate of 10% or more according to the set target.

Reporting on the summary of the implementation of the Resolution of the Provincial People's Council on the Socio-Economic Development Plan for 2025, period 2021 - 2025; Socio-Economic Development Plan for 2026 and period 2026 - 2030, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Lu Quang Ngoi said: In 2025, the province achieved and exceeded 17/22 main socio-economic targets; in which, the growth of total provincial product (GRDP) is estimated at 8%, GRDP at current prices is estimated at 172,033 billion VND, GRDP per capita is estimated at 80 million VND/person/year (achieving the Resolution target).
In the period of 2021 - 2025, the average growth rate will reach more than 6.15%/year, if not taking into account the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, the average growth rate will reach 7%. The economic structure will shift positively towards gradually reducing the proportion of agriculture, gradually increasing industry, construction and services.
Delegates attending the meeting supported people in the Central and Central Highlands regions affected by natural disasters.
Before the session, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee called on delegates to continue supporting people in the Central and Central Highlands regions affected by natural disasters, in order to mobilize resources and join hands with the Party and State to care for and help people in disaster-hit areas to quickly overcome the consequences, ensure social security and stabilize their lives.
Delegates attending the meeting visited, offered incense and flowers at the President Ho Chi Minh Memorial Site.
Previously, the delegation of the 10th term People's Council of Ca Mau province visited, offered incense and flowers at the Memorial Site of President Ho Chi Minh (An Xuyen ward, Ca Mau province).
According to the program, the 6th session of the 10th Provincial People's Council is expected to take place in 2 days (December 8-9).
