Ca Mau province delegation studies the model of Quang Ninh province's Media Center

As part of their working visit to Quang Ninh, this afternoon, March 21st, the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee delegation, led by Mr. Nguyen Duc Hien, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee, held a working session to study the model of the Quang Ninh Provincial Media Center. Attending the meeting were Ms. Vi Ngoc Bich, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Standing Vice Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial People's Council, leaders of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, and representatives from the Provincial Media Center and its departments.

The Quang Ninh Provincial Media Center officially commenced operations on January 1, 2019, through the merger of the province's media and press agencies, including: Quang Ninh Newspaper, Quang Ninh Radio and Television Station, the General Information Portal (under the Office of the People's Committee of Quang Ninh Province), and Ha Long Newspaper of the Quang Ninh Provincial Association of Literature and Arts. After more than six years, the Center has now stabilized its organizational structure and maintained stable communication channels across various media formats: radio, television, print, online, and the general information portal, along with other media publications, following a converged newsroom model with a streamlined organizational structure and efficient operation.

Comrade Vi Ngoc Bich, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, emphasized that, with the guidance and support from the Central Government, the Quang Ninh Provincial Media Center is the first pioneering model in consolidating provincial-level information and press agencies, initially meeting the requirements and objectives set forth; affirming the effectiveness of the policy of streamlining the organizational structure. From the practical operation of the Center, all professional aspects have been comprehensively improved, producing increasingly high-quality journalistic products, better meeting the media needs of the public and fulfilling the province's political tasks.

Comrade Nguyen Duc Hien, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee, affirmed: Quang Ninh is one of the localities with strong development in many aspects, with many good and creative approaches, new models, pioneering and effective in practice. The practical experience of the Quang Ninh Provincial Media Center in management and operation, along with the mechanisms and policies of Quang Ninh province in implementing the model, will be valuable experience for implementing the model of merging press and media agencies in Ca Mau province in the future.

During the meeting, the leaders of the Provincial Media Center also shared their experiences and answered some questions about the Center's operational model over the past period.
