Delegation of people who rendered meritorious services to the revolution from Binh Duong province visits the Ministry of National Defense.

Located in the Southern key economic region, in the Southeast of Vietnam, Binh Duong is a land with a rich and diverse history and culture. During the wars of national liberation, especially the resistance against the US, the Party Committee, government, military, and people of Binh Duong province united as one, making immense contributions in terms of manpower and resources, fighting alongside the army and people of the whole country to liberate the South and unify the nation. In the period of reform and international integration, Binh Duong has risen to become a leading industrial province; its economy has developed dynamically and comprehensively, and the lives of its people have improved significantly.  

Besides focusing on economic development, the province also prioritizes policies for war veterans and those who have rendered meritorious service to the nation, as well as social welfare policies. These policies significantly contribute to improving the material and spiritual lives of beneficiaries and stabilizing the socio -political situation in the locality. The province currently manages over 60,000 people who have rendered meritorious service to the revolution, including more than 16,000 martyrs, over 6,000 wounded and disabled soldiers, and over 2,000 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers. Monthly payments totaling over 13 billion VND are disbursed to over 7,000 beneficiaries. In addition, the province allocates over 3 billion VND per month to support war veterans. 100% of communes, wards, and towns in the province maintain their status as communes and wards excelling in the work related to war veterans, martyrs, and those who have rendered meritorious service.

Speaking at the meeting, Lieutenant General Le Quang Minh expressed his pleasure in welcoming the delegation and warmly congratulated the achievements that the Party Committee, government, military, and people of Binh Duong province have achieved in recent times. On this occasion, Lieutenant General Le Quang Minh informed the delegates about some outstanding results in military and national defense, especially the work of ensuring policies and support for the Army, the work of searching for, collecting, and identifying the remains of martyrs, and the implementation of the "Gratitude and Repayment" movement in agencies and units throughout the army in recent times.  

Thanking the Party Committee, Government, and people of Binh Duong province for their support to the Army throughout its development, combat, and growth, Lieutenant General Le Quang Minh expressed his hope that the Party Committee, government, military, and people of Binh Duong province would continue to uphold revolutionary traditions, pay attention to and effectively implement policies supporting the Army's rear areas, and carry out activities of gratitude and repayment, taking better care of the material and spiritual lives of policy beneficiaries and those who have contributed to the revolution in the province. He hoped that the delegates of those who have contributed to the revolution would uphold the traditions of their homeland and families, continue to encourage their families, children, and the people in their residential areas to enthusiastically study, work, and protect their homeland, and together with the Party Committee, government, and people, build Binh Duong province into an increasingly developed and prosperous province.
