During this operation, 165 officers and staff members from the second contingent will travel from Abyei back to Korea. They are expected to arrive at Noi Bai Airport in Hanoi on September 28th. Fifteen others will remain to handle the handover of duties to the next contingent, and four officers and staff members will continue their mission with the subsequent contingent.

Prior to this, to ensure a smooth troop rotation and handover to the 3rd Regiment, the 2nd Engineering Team had completed all necessary preparations in terms of personnel and supplies.

Reportedly, the units coordinated with the mission's transport helicopter unit (MOVCON) to inspect and pack more than 200 packages of consigned goods that had been assembled.

According to information from the 2nd Engineering Battalion, from September 15th to 23rd, the unit carried out maintenance and repair of key equipment to ensure readiness for the return journey home.

Lieutenant Colonel Pham Van Hao – deputy commander of Engineering Team No. 2 – said the team had distributed field rations (CRP) to each individual, and ensured medical care, logistics, and accommodation for all 165 officers and staff.

Simultaneously coordinate with mission agencies at transit points to ensure uninterrupted troop movements and be prepared for any potential situations.

“The team command has assigned the remaining comrades the task of coordinating closely with the third echelon. This includes focusing on working relationships with the mission’s specialized agencies to ensure the mission is carried out continuously, smoothly, and with maximum effectiveness,” Lieutenant Colonel Pham Van Hao added.

The team's thorough preparation in all aspects ensured that Engineering Teams No. 2 and 3, as well as related agencies and units, could operate without interruption in carrying out their tasks in the area.
