Welcoming and giving flowers to passengers on the high-quality train SE22 from Ho Chi Minh City to Da Nang

DNO - On the morning of April 28, at Da Nang Station, Da Nang Railway Transport Branch (Saigon Railway Transport Joint Stock Company) held a launching ceremony to welcome and present flowers to the first passengers of the high-quality passenger train SE22, Ho Chi Minh City - Da Nang route.

Following the success of the high-quality train on the Hanoi - Da Nang route (SE19/20), the SE21/22 train was put into operation by the railway industry to serve the travel needs of people during the April 30 and May 1 holidays. This is expected to become a "hot" tourism product in the summer of 2024.

At Da Nang station, Da Nang Railway Transport Branch (Saigon Railway Transport Joint Stock Company) held a launching ceremony to welcome and present flowers to the first passengers of the high-quality passenger train SE22, Ho Chi Minh City - Da Nang route.

Many tourists expressed their joy at experiencing the unique and new services on the first high-quality train between Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City.

Mr. Le Van Chien, Director of Da Nang Railway Transport Branch, said that the launch of the SE21/SE22 train is one of the new products in the chain of products and services that the railway industry has been, is and will continue to deploy in the coming time to bring passengers interesting experiences on Vietnam Railways' journeys; contributing to connecting tourism, developing regional socio-economy and culture.

Accordingly, the best quality carriages used on train SE21/22 were selected by the Corporation to upgrade and renovate to increase utility and bring high aesthetic effects.

In particular, many modern features were put into operation for the first time by Vietnam Railways to serve passengers, such as the train carriages being newly painted in white, gray and blue tones with the main image being the image of the crane on the Dong Son bronze drum - a symbol associated with Vietnamese culture.

A special feature for passengers on train SE21/22 is that in the seat car, the railway industry has for the first time put into operation a type of seat that can rotate 180 degrees to serve passengers. Therefore, passengers can comfortably adjust their sitting direction to suit, without worrying about motion sickness due to sitting in the opposite direction when the train is running. For now, this type of seat is equipped on 1 seat car of train SE21/22.

Along with the renovation of equipment and service quality on the train, on this occasion, Vietnam Railways Corporation also invested in renovating, refurbishing and putting into operation VIP waiting rooms for passengers at Saigon Station and Da Nang Station. Accordingly, passengers on SE21/SE22 trains or some other high-quality trains will be arranged a waiting room and have their own exit and boarding.

On the train journey, passengers can order regional specialties as gifts for relatives or enjoy them right on the train by scanning the QR code on their smartphones.
