On the morning of May 18th, Comrade Pham Quang Ngoc, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, along with a delegation from the province, visited and congratulated the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Association of the province on the occasion of the Buddha's Birthday (Buddhist calendar 2568 - Gregorian calendar 2024).
Accompanying him were Comrade Nguyen Hoang Ha, Provincial Party Committee member and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province; leaders of the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department, the Department of Internal Affairs, the Provincial Police, the Provincial Party Committee Office, the Office of the National Assembly Delegation and the Provincial People's Council, and the Provincial People's Committee Office.
Welcoming the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and the delegation were Venerable Thich Minh Quang, Secretary of the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, Head of the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in the province, and other dignitaries of the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in the province.
On behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Pham Quang Ngoc, extended best wishes to Venerable Thich Minh Quang and all religious dignitaries, monks, nuns, and Buddhist followers in the province for a peaceful and happy Vesak season.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged and highly appreciated the positive contributions of the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Association of the province and the dignitaries, monks, nuns, and Buddhist followers over the past time, who have always accompanied the provincial Party Committee and government in building the Party, building the political system, consolidating the great national unity, developing socio-economic affairs, and ensuring national defense and security.
The comrade expressed his wish that the Church and its leaders would continue to uphold the spirit of patriotism, effectively implementing the motto "Buddhism, nation, and socialism"; constantly promote the fine traditions of Buddhism, actively propagate and mobilize Buddhist followers and the people to strictly abide by the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws and regulations; work together to build national unity; actively participate in emulation movements; and contribute to building a more sustainable and prosperous province.
On behalf of the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Association of Ninh Binh province and the dignitaries, monks, nuns, and Buddhist followers in the province, Venerable Thich Minh Quang, Head of the Executive Board of the Vietnam Buddhist Association of Ninh Binh province, respectfully expressed gratitude for the affection and attention of the provincial leaders, departments, agencies, organizations, and localities in the province; and hoped to continue receiving support, attention, and favorable conditions for Buddhist activities in the province to take place in accordance with the principles, objectives, and regulations of the law and locality. At the same time, he affirmed that they will continue to promote the spirit of patriotism, live "a good life and a beautiful faith," contribute to building national unity, and encourage monks, nuns, and Buddhist followers to actively participate in patriotic emulation movements in the locality, maintain security and order; and pray for national peace and prosperity, contributing to building Ninh Binh into an increasingly prosperous, beautiful, and civilized province.
