To help Myanmar overcome the consequences of the earthquake, Vietnam has decided to provide emergency relief supplies at Myanmar's request, providing 300,000 USD in aid to help Myanmar overcome the consequences of the earthquake.
According to the plan, starting on March 31st, Vietnamese rescue teams will deploy to carry out rescue and relief operations in earthquake-affected areas. Relief supplies will also be delivered to people in the affected regions.
These efforts by the Party, State, and people of Vietnam to support Myanmar, a member of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), in overcoming and mitigating the consequences of natural disasters demonstrate Vietnam's tradition of "caring for others as if they were one's own," its international responsibility, and its humanitarian spirit, while also affirming the prestige and capacity of Vietnamese rescue and relief forces in participating in international activities.
Previously, on March 28, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son and the Vietnam-Myanmar Friendship Association also sent messages of condolences to the people of Myanmar./.
