The official Hung King's Commemoration Day 2024 has not yet arrived, but the flow of people pouring into Hung Temple ( Phu Tho ) is getting more and more crowded, causing the entrance to the Upper Temple to be blocked for a long time. To avoid jostling and pushing, security forces had to stand up and make a barrier.
According to Dan Viet reporters, there are still 4 days left until the main holiday of Hung Kings' death anniversary 2024, but this morning (April 14), there were already crowds of pilgrims returning to the land of ancestors to attend the Hung Temple festival.
Many tourists arrived from last night to this morning to attend the death anniversary of National Ancestor Lac Long Quan and offer incense to Mother Au Co.
From early morning, many groups of tourists were present at the foot of Nghia Linh mountain.
As noon approached, more and more people from the surrounding areas and tourists from all over the world came to the Hung Temple festival. The image of a stream of people crammed the path leading to the Upper Temple to attend the festival was seen around 10am.
The number of visitors to Hung Temple Festival has increased, causing congestion on the road to Thuong Temple. The relic site and the Festival Organizing Committee have increased staff to help visitors.
The organizers had to set up a "soft fence" consisting of police officers and security guards to direct traffic to avoid jostling.
Phu Tho Provincial Youth Union mobilized hundreds of youth union members to promote environmental hygiene, guide tourists, support the elderly, children, the disabled, and collect garbage at all relic sites.
Everyone was radiant, sincerely offering incense, flowers, and gifts to the Hung Kings, praying for their families' health, peace, and happiness.
The children and grandchildren together helped the old ladies slowly go up to the Upper Temple.
According to the festival organizing committee, this year's Hung Kings' Commemoration Day - Hung Temple Festival is expected to welcome about 4 million visitors. The entire police force, security guards, and volunteers were mobilized and distributed at many different points, especially the main entrance to the temples to ensure order and avoid climbing into the forest. Today, the number of visitors to the festival increased, and soft checkpoints were promptly set up to prevent the flow of people to the Upper Temple. The police force and young volunteers continuously propagated and reminded people to temporarily stop at the public yard, not to go to the temples to reduce congestion, not to jostle and push, and to give priority to the elderly and children.
