On July 5th, the People's Committee of Dong Trieu Town organized a conference to disseminate and publicize the Land Law No. 31/2024/QH15 to the government at all levels, from the town to the communes and wards, political and social organizations, and the people in the area. National Assembly representative Phan Duc Hieu, Standing Member of the National Assembly's Economic Committee, attended and presented the contents of the thematic report.

The 2024 Land Law, passed by the 15th National Assembly , comprises 16 chapters and 260 articles, with many new and outstanding features. This represents a major step forward in the reform, management, and use of land, meeting the requirements of socio-economic development in the new era. The law will take effect on January 1, 2025.
However, in accordance with the country's development requirements and the importance of the Law, which impacts all aspects of life, the Government has submitted to the National Assembly for approval the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of several Laws, including allowing the Land Law of 2024 to take effect on August 1, 2024.

Dong Trieu town identifies the dissemination and popularization of the new Land Law as an urgent and important task, aiming to bring the law's provisions into practice and ensure uniformity and consistency in land management from the Party committee and government to the entire political system and all the people.
The conference was organized by the People's Committee of Dong Trieu Town, combining in-person and online participation at 21 locations in communes and wards throughout the town. It was attended by all key officials at all levels in the town, as well as staff, civil servants, and voters and citizens.
Delegates attending the conference heard National Assembly Deputy Phan Duc Hieu, Standing Member of the National Assembly's Economic Committee, directly convey the new, prominent, and noteworthy points in the Land Law No. 31/2024/QH15, with five main content groups: regulations on protecting the legitimate rights and interests of land users; access to land; improving land use efficiency; land finance policy; and effectiveness and efficiency of management.
With a serious attitude of listening and learning, the delegates actively exchanged views on practical difficulties and requested further clarification of legal regulations.
Organizing conferences helps local officials and civil servants understand the content of the law correctly and deeply, thereby effectively applying the law to their work.

Immediately after the conference, the town's leaders requested all officials and employees from the town level to the grassroots to continue proactively and actively studying the provisions of the Law and related draft Decrees, and to propose recommendations to the Town People's Committee to send written requests to competent authorities for consideration regarding regulations that are still problematic, some transitional regulations, or content that is not yet clearly defined…
Dong Trieu Town is the first district-level locality in the province and the entire country to organize a large-scale conference to disseminate and publicize the 2024 Land Law, reaching even the smallest villages and residential areas with nearly 4,000 participants. This grassroots force is also a key contributor to the active dissemination of the law within the community.
