In addition to cultural exchange activities, the ceremonial part of this year's Hung Temple Festival includes: the Commemoration Ceremony for National Ancestor Lac Long Quan and the offering of incense to Ancestress Au Co on April 14th (6th day of the 3rd lunar month); the Hung Kings Commemoration Ceremony on April 18th (10th day of the 3rd lunar month); and the offering of incense to commemorate the Hung Kings by districts, towns, and cities in the province from April 9th to 18th (1st to 10th day of the 3rd lunar month). Besides the solemn and respectful ceremonies, this year's festival also features an art program themed "The Convergence of the Nation" and high-altitude fireworks; a cultural camp and exhibition showcasing and promoting products; a folk art and Phu Tho folk song festival; an exhibition of artifacts, world documentary heritage, books, newspapers, and photographic documents; a competition for wrapping and cooking banh chung (traditional Vietnamese rice cakes) and pounding banh giay (traditional Vietnamese rice cakes); a performance of Xoan singing from ancient villages; an art exhibition themed "Homeland, Country, and People of Phu Tho"; a trade fair and display of Phu Tho OCOP products… (Photo: Nhat Lam/Vietnam+)
