According to Egypt's state news agency Al-Ahram, the yacht, carrying 27 people, including 15 British tourists, is off the coast of Marsa Alam.

After the fire broke out and sank the ship, 12 British tourists were rescued, however, the remaining 3 British nationals were reported missing and are being searched for by rescue forces.
Egyptian authorities and local media have not mentioned the cause of the fire.
A spokesperson for the UK Foreign Office said in a statement on Sunday that they were “in contact with local authorities” and were assisting the British citizens involved.
Notably, the incident occurred just days after beaches in the Red Sea resort of Hurghada were closed following the death of a Russian man in a shark attack.
