The patient is Ms. Poloong Thi Deeng (born in 1950, residing in Abubl village, Kaleum district, SeKong province, Laos). Previously, Ms. Deeng entered Vietnam for medical treatment at the Northern Quang Nam Mountainous Regional General Hospital (located in Dai Loc commune, Da Nang city). After the treatment period, she wished to be discharged from the hospital and return to her hometown for care.
However, due to the impact of storm No. 10, the mountainous area of Hung Son was isolated, the roads were landslides and slippery, making travel extremely difficult. Faced with this situation, the patient's relatives asked the Hung Son commune authorities for support.

Immediately after receiving the information, the Military Command and the Hung Son Commune Police sent forces on duty to coordinate the organization of bringing Mrs. Deeng back to her hometown. The officers and soldiers took turns using hammocks, carefully carrying her across nearly 5km of dangerous forest road, from Atu 2 village (Hung Son commune) across the border, all the way to Abu village, Laos safely.
A representative of the local government said that this is an activity demonstrating the solidarity and special friendship between Vietnam and Laos, and at the same time demonstrating the sense of responsibility and wholehearted service to the people of the local armed forces in the context of complex natural disasters and storms.
