Due to the impact of storm No. 6 (October 2024), heavy rains have caused Nguyen Huu Tho Street, in Ward 7, Cua Viet Town, Gio Linh District, Quang Tri Province to be eroded and landslides, posing a potential risk to traffic safety, but to date it has not been repaired.

Specifically, Nguyen Huu Tho Street was damaged for about 40 meters. The entire sidewalk and nearly 1 meter of asphalt concrete road were eroded and collapsed. To ensure traffic safety, the People's Committee of Cua Viet town installed warning signs and barricaded the dangerous area.

Mr. Hoang Bon, Head of Quarter 7, Cua Viet Town, said that Nguyen Huu Tho Street connecting National Highway 9 (section through Cua Viet Town) is a densely populated area. During the tourist season, the traffic volume is very large, while this street does not have a night lighting system, so when vehicles pass through the eroded and landslide-prone section of the road, accidents are very likely to occur. We hope that the authorities will soon invest in repairing Nguyen Huu Tho Street to ensure safety.
