On the afternoon of June 8th, nearly 40,000 candidates taking the entrance exam for 10th grade in the 2023-2024 school year arrived at the examination centers to register for the exam, listen to the exam regulations, and check their registration numbers.

During the exam registration process this afternoon, candidates were briefed on the exam regulations, exam room rules, and had the opportunity to correct any errors (if any) that may have occurred during the registration process.
Candidates taking the exam at Ham Rong High School ( Thanh Hoa City) should check their registration numbers and verify their personal information (Ham Rong High School exam center has over 800 candidates, with a maximum of 30 exam rooms).
To ensure the exam is conducted safely and seriously, the high schools where the exam centers are located have proactively developed plans and made full preparations in terms of facilities, equipment, and other necessary conditions to ensure the exam runs smoothly.
This afternoon, many parents also came to the examination site with their children, accompanying the candidates.
According to information from the Department of Education and Training of Thanh Hoa province, the number of candidates who came to complete the registration procedures for the exam was 39,062 out of 39,759 registered candidates, reaching a rate of 98.25%. Preparations for the exam at the examination centers were satisfactory.
According to the plan, the entrance exam for 10th grade in the 2023-2024 school year will take place over two days, June 9th and 10th. Candidates will take three subjects: Literature, Mathematics, and English. The exam time is 120 minutes for Literature and Mathematics; and 60 minutes for English. All exams are in essay format. The scores for Mathematics and Literature are weighted with a coefficient of 2, while the score for English is weighted with a coefficient of 1.

To organize the entrance exam for 10th grade in the 2023-2024 school year, the entire province has arranged 86 examination boards and mobilized nearly 5,000 officials and teachers to serve at these examination boards.
