Nearly 800 athletes participate in the 3rd Tuy Phong Half Marathon

On the morning of March 16th, the Tuy Phong District People's Committee organized the 3rd Tuy Phong Half Marathon in 2025. In the spirit of sportsmanship – “Unity – Honesty – Progress” – the event attracted nearly 800 athletes from clubs and organizations inside and outside the province.

The 3rd Tuy Phong Half Marathon is divided into a men's and women's amateur category with a distance of 7 km and a men's and women's main category with a distance of 21 km. A special feature is the running route along the coast, from Binh Thanh commune - Chi Cong - Hoa Minh - Phan Ri Cua. Along this route, athletes will experience the rhythm of local life, the bustling morning trading in fishing villages, and the peaceful scenery of coastal temples...

Specifically, for the 21 km race, athletes start at the entrance gate of Binh Thanh tourist area, run along the coastal road through Chi Cong commune and Hoa Minh commune, and finish at the Phan Ri Cua town cultural and sports center. For the 7 km race, the starting point is at Chi Cong Kindergarten and the finish line is at the Phan Ri Cua town cultural and sports center.

This event aims to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Southern Vietnam and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Tuy Phong district (April 17, 1975 - April 17, 2025). It also continues to promote the "All People Practice Physical Training Following the Example of the Great President Ho Chi Minh" movement, linked to ensuring the material and spiritual well-being of cadres, civil servants, employees, and the people in the district. Through this event, the Tuy Phong District People's Committee hopes to further introduce and promote the existing images and scenic spots of the locality. Maintaining a diverse range of attractive and unique tourism, sports, and entertainment products for visitors from near and far is linked to the implementation of the Project to develop Binh Thuan into a national-level marine tourism and sports center, giai đoạn 2021 - 2025, within the district.

At the end of the competition, the Organizing Committee awarded the first prize in the men's 21km race to athlete Do Duy Thang from Phan Thiet City, and in the 7km race to athlete Truong Van Hieu from Hoa Minh Runner Club; the first prize in the women's 21km race went to athlete Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc from Thien Nghiep Runner Club, and in the women's 7km race to athlete Ho Quynh Truong from Hoa Minh Runner Club.
