Linking the performance of the tasks of the prosecution sector with the tasks of local socio-economic development

On the afternoon of January 3rd, the Provincial People's Procuracy held a conference to implement its work plan for 2025.

Attending the conference were: Comrade Nguyen Huy Tien, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the Supreme People's Procuratorate ; Comrade Nguyen Khac Than, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee; and leaders of the Provincial People's Council and the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee.

In 2024, the Provincial People's Procuracy seriously implemented the directives and resolutions of the Party, the National Assembly , the Supreme People's Procuracy, and the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Council; at the same time, it promptly implemented solutions to improve the quality and effectiveness of procuracy work. As a result, the entire sector achieved many positive results, with all work targets met and exceeded those set by the National Assembly and the sector. The progress and quality of handling criminal cases were accelerated, ensuring compliance with the law; there were no cases dismissed due to lack of evidence of guilt or the court declaring the defendant not guilty; there were no cases returned for further investigation due to the responsibility of the Procuracy; the rate of prosecution for the correct crime within the prescribed time limit reached 100%, exceeding the target set by the National Assembly by 10%. The effectiveness and efficiency of the supervision of judicial activities in all fields continued to improve. All requests and recommendations from the Procuracy were accepted, and the rate of criminal and civil appeals accepted by the courts reached 100%, exceeding the target set by the National Assembly by 30%.

Speaking at the conference, Comrade Nguyen Huy Tien, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the Supreme People's Procuratorate, and Comrade Nguyen Khac Than, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, highly appreciated the positive contributions of the Thai Binh Procuratorate to the province's socio-economic development.

Emphasizing that 2025 is a significant year, marked by many important events for the country and the province, the comrades requested that in the coming period, the Thai Binh Procuracy continue to link the performance of its professional functions and duties with the socio-economic development tasks of the locality; work with the locality to focus on resolving difficulties and obstacles, especially bottlenecks related to the legal system, to unlock resources for socio-economic development; effectively prevent and combat all types of crimes and violations of the law, maintain political security and social order in the province, thereby creating a safe and open environment to attract investment. Further enhance the core role of the Provincial People's Procuracy in the activities of the Provincial Steering Committee for the Prevention and Combat of Corruption and Negative Phenomena; proactively, responsibly, and decisively improve the quality of the exercise of prosecutorial power, creating a real qualitative transformation in all aspects of work. Ensuring that the right person is punished for the right crime, in accordance with the law, preventing wrongful convictions and the failure to prosecute criminals from the moment information about a crime is received; reviewing and resolving cases definitively, especially those involving officials, Party members, and those with the potential to become hotspots… Effectively implementing coordination regulations between the People's Procuratorates at both levels and other agencies and units in resolving cases and incidents in accordance with the law; monitoring the situation to proactively handle or advise Party committees and authorities at all levels on leadership and guidance in resolving emerging issues, especially complex and sensitive issues. Focusing on reorganizing the organizational structure according to Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW of the Central Committee of the Party, ensuring the requirements and progress of the province's and the Supreme People's Procuratorate's directives, without affecting litigation activities; upholding discipline, order, and strictness in the performance of official duties. As a Party committee member, continue to make many positive contributions to the development of mechanisms, policies, and solutions for the socio-economic development of the locality.
