Meeting to celebrate the 54th anniversary of the founding of the heroic 471st Division

On the morning of July 21, in Buon Ho ward, the Truong Son Tradition Association of the 471st Division of the Central Highlands held a meeting to celebrate the 54th anniversary of the founding of the heroic 471st Division and the 45th anniversary of the Division returning to Buon Ho to do business.

The ceremony was attended by more than 500 cadres and members of the Truong Son Tradition Association of Division 471 from across the country.

At the meeting, delegates and members together recalled memories of the force's traditions and memories of Truong Son during the years of fighting and arduous work.

The heroic 471st Division was established in 1971 and dissolved in 1988. During its development and growth, the Division carried out many different missions on the Central Highlands battlefield; the Laos and Cambodia battlefields. In March 1976, the Division was awarded the title of Heroic Unit of the People's Armed Forces.

Representatives of the Central Committee of the Truong Son Tradition Association of Division 471 presented certificates of merit to 35 cadres and members with outstanding achievements.

The Truong Son Tradition Association of Division 471 in the Central Highlands region was established in 2011 and is one of 18 member units of the Truong Son Tradition Association of Division 471 nationwide.

During its operation, the Association has developed 5 provincial liaison committees. Currently, there are more than 800 members, actively participating in the Association's activities, typically activities to continue the tradition of the force, activities for comradeship, support, create conditions for members in difficulty to develop the economy , build houses...

Give gifts to members in difficult circumstances.

On this occasion, the Central Committee of the Truong Son Tradition Association of Division 471 awarded certificates of merit to 35 cadres and members of the Truong Son Tradition Association of Division 471 in the Central - Central Highlands region for their outstanding achievements in building and developing the association; awarded the Commemorative Medal of Division 471 to 16 individuals; and presented gifts to 11 war invalids and members in difficult circumstances.
