In particular, traders in Hanoi are purchasing live pigs at the highest price in the region of 59,000 VND/kg.
The remaining localities maintained stable transactions.
Pig price in Central Highlands
The market for live pigs in the Central Highlands and Central Vietnam recorded an increase in many localities, with purchases ranging from 56,000 - 60,000 VND/kg.
Accordingly, Binh Thuan province increased slightly by 1,000 VND/kg to 60,000 VND/kg, the highest in the region.
Pig price in Quang Binh increased the highest by 3,000 VND/kg, purchased at 59,000 VND/kg.
The provinces of Ha Tinh , Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh, Khanh Hoa and Ninh Thuan increased by VND1,000 - 2,000/kg to about VND56,000 - 58,000/kg, depending on the region.
Pig price in the South
In the South, the price of live pigs increased by 1,000 - 2,000 VND/kg in many localities, fluctuating between 57,000 - 61,000 VND/kg.
Specifically, in Ben Tre, Ca Mau, Can Tho and Dong Thap, the price of live pigs increased by 1,000 - 2,000 VND/kg, purchasing at around 59,000 - 60,000 VND/kg.
Kien Giang and Vinh Long provinces increased by 1,000 VND/kg and 2,000 VND/kg respectively, bringing the transaction to the highest level in the region at 61,000 VND/kg.
