Thai durian in the Mekong Delta has decreased sharply in many types.

The prices of Thai and imported goods are also lower. Thai imported goods range from 75,000 - 80,000 VND/kg, while Thai imported goods are around 45,000 VND/kg.
The price of Ri6 durian in the Mekong Delta remains more stable: type A is purchased at 67,000 - 70,000 VND/kg, type B is 50,000 - 55,000 VND/kg. High-end varieties still maintain good prices:

Chuong Bo and Sau Huu durian, grade A, in the region fluctuates between 65,000 - 80,000 VND/kg.
In the Southeast and Central Highlands regions, the market is less volatile but durian prices are generally lower than in the Mekong Delta due to quality and transportation costs.
In the Southeast, Thai durian type A fluctuates at 90,000 - 95,000 VND/kg, Ri6 type A is commonly at 55,000 - 60,000 VND/kg.
In the Central Highlands, Thai durian grade A is at 90,000 - 95,000 VND/kg, Ri6 grade A is 50,000 - 55,000 VND/kg.
Durian grades B and C in both areas have a decrease of about 20,000 - 30,000 VND/kg compared to grade A.

Durian exports continue to set new records
The demand for durian exports remains high, contributing to the main driving force for the growth of Vietnam's fruit and vegetable industry. The export turnover of fruits and vegetables in the first 11 months of 2025 reached more than 7.8 billion USD, up 18% over the same period.
Durian alone accounted for 3.4 billion USD, surpassing the entire export turnover of 2024 and maintaining its role as the industry's number 1 export item.
The Vietnam Fruit and Vegetable Association said the durian market is in the off-season, supply has decreased sharply and this scarcity could last until March 2026.
The main reason is that many growing areas in the Mekong Delta are flooded, along with the cost of off-season production increasing by 10-15% compared to the main crop. Limited supply while export demand remains high, predicting that durian market prices may continue to fluctuate strongly in the coming time.
