(NLĐO) – Despite the sharp drop in world gold prices, the prices of SJC gold bars and gold rings remain stable.
On the morning of March 1st, SJC, PNJ, and DOJI companies simultaneously listed the price of SJC gold bars at 88.5 million VND/ounce for buying and 90.5 million VND/ounce for selling, remaining stable compared to the end of yesterday.
Similarly, the price of 99.99% pure gold rings and jewelry remained stable around 88.5 million VND/ounce for buying and 90.4 million VND/ounce for selling.
Gold prices unexpectedly stabilized today despite a continued sharp decline in global prices. During trading last night and early this morning on the international market, gold prices fell continuously before closing at $2,857 per ounce, down $20 per ounce from the previous session. The precious metal has been declining for the past week, falling from its historical peak of $2,954 per ounce, losing approximately $100 per ounce.
According to analysts, gold prices are under strong profit-taking pressure after a period of rapid increase from the end of last year until now. Given the current situation, gold prices are predicted to continue falling in the short term.
Gold prices remained stable today, contrary to the downward trend in global prices.
Meanwhile, domestic gold prices are falling more slowly than the global trend. Some experts say that the price of SJC gold bars and gold rings lags behind world prices. Therefore, if the downward trend in world prices continues in the coming days, the price of SJC gold bars and gold rings may adjust downwards more quickly.
Currently, the world gold price, converted according to the listed exchange rate, is approximately 88.6 million VND per tael.
