On September 11, comrade Nguyen Thanh Trung, Head of the Culture - Social Committee of the City People's Council chaired the supervision of the topic "Implementation of policies and laws for employees in the period 2021 - 2024" at Hyundai Kefico Vietnam Co., Ltd. and NamYang Delta Co., Ltd., both in Dai An Industrial Park.

Also attending the meeting were comrades: Bui Duc Quang, Vice Chairman of the City People's Council; Nguyen Thi Viet Nga, Deputy Head of the Hai Phong National Assembly Delegation and representatives of relevant departments, branches and localities.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the City People's Council Bui Duc Quang acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of business leaders in ensuring stable employment as well as implementing policies and laws for employees. Affirming that labor is a valuable asset of enterprises, he requested that businesses continue to pay more attention to improving and increasing income; improving the quality of facilities: factories, kitchens, break areas... to ensure working and resting conditions for employees.

In particular, businesses are researching and dedicating resources to investing in housing construction to help workers stabilize their lives, contributing to attracting and retaining workers and building business development.

Hyundai Kefico Vietnam Co., Ltd. was established in 2009, is a member of Hyundai Motor Group Korea, specializing in research, development and production of high-tech electronic products, controllers for motor vehicles and vehicle engines.

The company currently has 2,298/2,307 employees with signed contracts. The proportion of female employees accounts for 50%, the proportion of employees with college or university degrees accounts for 26.4%. The average income of an employee is more than 15.4 million VND/month. Overtime, bonus and allowance regimes are strictly enforced.

The company pays attention to support policies for female workers, workers with children, supports travel expenses, housing, etc. The company's union was established and has done a good job of caring for and protecting the rights of workers. Since its establishment, the company has not had any labor disputes or strikes. This is also the only FDI enterprise in the West Hai Phong area with a Party cell.

The average income of employees is currently 7.6 million VND/person/month.

Compared to FDI enterprises in the same manufacturing industry, Namyang Delta Co., Ltd.'s production and business activities have faced many difficulties in the past 3 years. This reality has directly affected the assurance of welfare regimes, improvement and increase of workers' income as well as difficulties in recruiting workers of the enterprise.

Namyang Delta Co., Ltd. proposes that the authorities support and guide businesses in updating new legal regulations related to workers; support units to participate in training programs to improve workers' occupational safety skills.

The members of the monitoring team asked the two enterprises to provide information and discuss more clearly the overtime and insurance regimes; the construction of housing for workers; the handling of fine dust and noise in production workshops; the assurance of salary payment deadlines and labor safety...

Comrade Nguyen Thanh Trung, Head of the Culture - Social Committee of the City People's Council, received the opinions and recommendations of the businesses. The monitoring delegation synthesized the report to the City Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee and made specific proposals to help remove and resolve the difficulties of businesses.
