Contribute to the drafting of a decree regulating compensation, support, resettlement and land prices

Attending the conference at the Lao Cai branch were Comrade Nguyen Trong Hai, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; and leaders of relevant departments and agencies.

The Land Law of 2024 was passed by the National Assembly on January 18, 2024. Therefore, the issuance of a Decree regulating compensation, support, and resettlement when the State recovers land to provide detailed guidance on the implementation of some articles of the Land Law of 2024 and the Decree regulating land prices is extremely necessary.

At the conference, delegates discussed and provided feedback on each article and clause of the draft decrees; focusing on several key issues such as: beneficiaries of livelihood stabilization support, training support, vocational retraining and job search support; other cases eligible for land compensation and conditions for land compensation; costs for ensuring the organization of compensation, support, and resettlement; regulations on land price tables by location; determining the value and price of land parcels requiring valuation…

The representative from Lao Cai province suggested considering and regulating the level of support for stabilizing livelihoods and production based on the average income per unit area of agricultural land for each specific case; and assigning the provincial People's Committee to regulate the support level in accordance with local realities.

Concluding the conference, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha requested that the drafting of the decrees be carried out urgently and seriously. Ministries, sectors, localities, and associations should continue to contribute opinions and refine the draft decrees; focusing on issues of public interest such as: land valuation methods, compensation, support, and resettlement plans...
