Ha Long: Electing additional Vice Chairman of the City People's Council, term II, 2021-2026

After 1.5 days of serious, focused, and democratic work, the 24th Session (regular mid-year session), the Ha Long City People's Council, term II, 2021 - 2026, completed all the contents and programs set out, reviewed a large amount of work, and passed 18 resolutions within its authority with high consensus and unanimity of the City People's Council delegates.

The meeting heard reports and submissions.

During the discussion session, 46 comments were recorded on the reports and draft resolutions submitted at the meeting by 16 City People's Council delegates and 30 invited delegates.

With the spirit and responsibility towards voters and people, from reports, submissions, and explanatory reports of functional agencies, City People's Council delegates seriously studied documents, discussed frankly, concisely, and focusedly; actively contributed their efforts and intelligence to the decisions at the session.

City People's Council delegates voted to elect an additional Vice Chairman of the Ha Long City People's Council for the 2nd term, 2021-2026.

At the meeting, the City People's Council delegates dismissed the position of Vice Chairman of the Ha Long City People's Council, term II, 2021-2026, for comrade Nguyen Thi Van Ha, former Vice Chairman of the City People's Council, due to her transfer to the position of Deputy Head of the Legal Committee of the Provincial People's Council, term XIV, 2021-2026; dismissed the position of member of the City People's Committee for Mr. Tran Van Le, Chief Inspector of the City, who came to work at the Party Committee of Gieng Day Ward.

The meeting also introduced personnel and elected additional Vice Chairman of Ha Long City People's Council, term II, 2021-2026 for comrade Ho Ngoc Hoai, Secretary, Chairman of Hong Ha Ward People's Committee with absolute approval; introduced personnel and elected additional member of the City People's Committee for comrade Nguyen Van Quang, Head of the City Internal Affairs Department with absolute approval.

The Standing Committee of Ha Long City Party Committee presented flowers to congratulate the comrades who have just received new assignments.

The session also devoted adequate time to questions in the hall, focusing on a number of hot issues that voters and people in the city are interested in, such as: Progress in relocating small-scale industrial establishments that cause environmental pollution; work to prevent drowning for children; law violations among teenagers; people's rights in slow-progressing projects, revoked projects; recovery of advances in public investment, etc.

The question and answer session has raised issues and solutions for the City People's Committee to focus on effectively resolving issues in the direction of clearly assigning responsible agencies and persons, and time schedules, ensuring serious and complete implementation of commitments made to the City People's Council, as well as voters and people of Ha Long City.

Also at the meeting, the Chairman of the Meeting directed the approval of 18 resolutions with the consensus of 100% of the City People's Council delegates attending the meeting, clearly demonstrating the responsibility to the Party Committee, the government, voters and people of the city. There are many important and necessary contents, not only ensuring the stability and innovation of the city's development in 2024, but also for the whole period of 2021-2025, aiming to gradually build Ha Long City into a "model, civilized, rich, beautiful, and affectionate" city, ensuring stable, balanced and sustainable development.
