Hanoi: Investing 299 billion VND to build Le Quy Don High School

On the afternoon of December 8, Dong Da ward held the groundbreaking ceremony for the project "Clearing land for households living in the school campus and investing in the construction of Le Quy Don High School".

The investment project for the construction of Le Quy Don High School was approved in principle by the People's Council of Dong Da District (formerly) in Resolution No. 03/NQ-HĐND dated April 12, 2024, and the investment was approved by the People's Committee of Dong Da District (formerly) in Decision No. 4220/QĐ-UBND dated September 23, 2024.

Throughout the implementation process, the authorities at both levels, along with the Party Committee, People's Council, and People's Committee of Dong Da ward, continuously directed and resolved obstacles related to land clearance to ensure the project's progress.

Delegates officially launched the construction project for Le Quy Don High School.

According to the plan, Le Quy Don High School will be rebuilt with a more modern and comprehensive infrastructure, aiming to improve student capacity, ensure better teaching and learning conditions, meet the school's educational quality development goals, and strive to achieve national standards level 2.

On the existing land area of ​​9,298.7 m2, of which the construction area is approximately 3,274.9 m2, the People's Committee of Dong Da Ward directed the research, survey, bidding process, and handover of the land to the winning contractor on October 15, 2025, thereby commencing construction with high requirements for safety, quality, and progress.

The total investment for the project is 299 billion VND, including land clearance and the construction of new, integrated school buildings and administrative offices in accordance with the school network plan. The project will ensure sufficient main classrooms, subject rooms, functional rooms, administrative offices, and auxiliary spaces meeting national standards. Auxiliary items include a transformer station, guardhouse, gate, fence, technical infrastructure, and landscaping.

The project comprises three main buildings, each five stories high, and a basement, along with three guard houses, a ceremonial gate on Nam Dong Street, and two side gates on Xa Dan 2 Street. The project is scheduled to run from October 15, 2025, to May 8, 2027, with the goal of completion and commissioning in May 2027.

Upon completion, Le Quy Don High School is expected to become an important educational destination in the area, helping to alleviate the burden on neighboring schools which are already overcrowded, while also meeting the socio -economic development needs of Dong Da ward and Hanoi city.
