Two innovative examples of Dai Ninh Hydropower won third prize in the 10th Binh Thuan Province Technical Innovation Contest 2022-2023

The solution "Design and complete construction of a remote monitoring system for equipment at Dai Ninh Hydropower Plant," which won this award, by Mr. To Van Trong and Mr. Chuc Thanh Hieu, is a synthesis of initiatives that have been recognized and effectively applied at the company.

Born in 1977 in the sandy, sun-drenched land of Quang Ngai, at the age of 6, To Van Trong followed his parents to settle in the new economic zone of Cat Tien district, Lam Dong province. Life in the new economic zone was very difficult, so Trong participated in agricultural production with his family while also striving to study to fulfill his dream of becoming an electrical engineer.

In early 2005, with a degree in Automatic Control Engineering from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, he joined the Electrical Engineering department at Repair Workshop 1, Da Nhim Hydropower Company, Ham Thuan, Da Mi. After completing the Dai Ninh Hydropower Plant production preparation project with the Production Preparation Team, he continued working at the Repair Workshop of Dai Ninh Hydropower Company from its early days of establishment.

With his extensive knowledge and passion for research, he has contributed 15 technical innovation initiatives to the Company, earning the title of "Outstanding Emulation Soldier" from Power Generation Corporation 1 seven times, a commendation from the Ministry of Industry and Trade in 2013, the Nguyen Duc Canh Award in 2018, commendations from the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee in 2009 and 2016, a certificate of merit from the Duc Trong District Party Committee in 2013, and numerous commendations and certificates of merit from Vietnam Electricity Group and Power Generation Corporation 1. Particularly with the Technical Innovation Competition, this is the second time he has won an award, after first winning second prize nationally and second prize in Lam Dong province in 2016. As a capable and enthusiastic employee in both his work and union activities, Mr. To Van Trong is trusted by the company and has been appointed to positions such as Secretary of the Youth Union, Head of the Testing Team, Deputy Manager of the Repair Workshop, and is currently the Deputy Head of the Planning and Materials Department.

Born in 1986 into a struggling family in Lam Dong province, but with his burning desire and ambition, Chuc Thanh Hieu joined Dai Ninh Hydropower Plant in 2010 after graduating with a degree in electrical engineering from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology.

Mr. Hieu is designing and programming on a remote monitoring computer.

As a dynamic and creative young engineer with a passion for work and a thirst for learning, Mr. Chuc Thanh Hieu has contributed significantly to the management and operation of the company's two power generation units, ensuring safe, efficient, and economical operation. In recognition of his contributions, Power Generation Corporation 1 has awarded him the title of "Outstanding Emulation Soldier" four times, and he received a commendation from the Vietnam Electricity Group in 2013 and a certificate of merit from Power Generation Corporation 1 in 2020 for his excellent performance in his work.

Currently serving as the Head of the Electrical Testing Team, Mr. Hieu always takes the lead in promoting initiatives and technical improvements, while encouraging his colleagues in the team to constantly strive for creativity to apply to the company's production lines, meeting the demands of the 4.0 technological revolution. In fact, over the past years, the Electrical Testing Team has consistently been a leading unit in the company's innovation efforts.

Besides his professional work, Mr. Hieu is a talented individual in cultural, artistic, and sports activities, always enthusiastically participating in and contributing to the company's emulation movements, resulting in vibrant and successful outcomes.

Winning third prize at the Binh Thuan Provincial Technical Innovation Competition is a great honor for Mr. Trong and Mr. Hieu, and a well-deserved recognition of their contributions to innovation in particular, and to the labor and production of the electricity industry in general. They vowed to continuously strive to learn and improve their professional skills, excellently fulfill their assigned tasks, and contribute to the growth and development of the company to live up to this recognition, while also inspiring enthusiasm and serving as a shining example for younger generations to follow.
