Hai Phong is a pioneer in creating an education system for the age of artificial intelligence.

On September 28, 2025, the Hai Phong Department of Education and Training, in collaboration with FPT Group and FPT Schools, organized an intensive training workshop on “Day of AI Vietnam” for nearly 270 secondary and high school teachers. This was not only a professional event but also a pioneering step for Hai Phong's education sector in realizing the policy of “comprehensive digital transformation, widespread adoption and strong application of digital technology and artificial intelligence in education and training” in accordance with Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW of the Politburo.

Amidst the global boom in digital technology and AI, Hai Phong has become the first locality to collaborate withFPT to implement the Day of AI program. This once again affirms the city's tradition of academic excellence, innovative spirit, and determination to lead the way in the digital transformation of education.

While many places are still struggling with integrating AI into the classroom, Hai Phong has chosen a systematic and sustainable approach: not just focusing on "teaching the tool," Hai Phong's education system concentrates on building a foundation of critical thinking, digital skills, and ethical standards so that students know how to use AI intelligently and responsibly.

AI Education – From Tools to Value

What sets the Day of AI program apart is that it not only teaches how to use AI as a supporting tool, but more importantly, it provides teachers and students with technical concepts, ethical issues, and methods for teaching AI in secondary schools.

Through this, the Hai Phong education sector hopes to build a generation of future citizens with sufficient knowledge, skills, and humanistic qualities to:

• Instead of relying on AI, we should proactively explore and innovate.
• Maintain academic integrity and overcome the risk of "misjudging" one's abilities with the help of machines.

Committed to innovation and supporting teachers.

This training session provided nearly 270 secondary school, high school, and continuing education center teachers with fundamental knowledge, internationally standardized learning materials, and methods for integrating AI into their lessons. After the training, these teachers will become the core force directly implementing AI teaching in their schools.

In particular, the program also aims to provide 50,000 free Coursera online learning platform accounts, opening up opportunities for teachers and students to access comprehensive, modern, and most relevant AI knowledge.
