Two highway rest stops through Binh Thuan temporarily put into operation from January 20

Two rest stops at Km 47+500, Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway and Km 205 station on Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway through Binh Thuan will be temporarily put into operation from January 20 to serve people traveling during the Lunar New Year.

On the morning of January 18, speaking with reporters, Mr. Nguyen Cong Hop, Deputy Director of Phan Thiet - Dau Giay Expressway (Thang Long Project Management Board) said that two temporary rest stops on both sides of the expressway, at Km 47+500 (bordering Dong Nai and Binh Thuan provinces) will be put into operation to serve drivers and traffic participants on January 20.

"The management board has just coordinated with the investor and Road Management Area IV to inspect the site and agreed to temporarily operate two highway rest stops during the peak Lunar New Year period," said Mr. Hop.

On the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway, Mr. Pham Quoc Huy, project executive director, said that the rest stop at Km205 through Ham Tri commune (Ham Thuan Bac district, Binh Thuan province) is also ready to be put into temporary operation from January 20.

"According to the plan, after putting Km205 station into operation, the route management unit will temporarily close the rest stop at Km 199+700 to ensure the safety of traffic vehicles," Mr. Huy informed.

According to observations by Giao Thong Newspaper reporters, the contractor is currently urgently installing equipment in restrooms, sales points, and drinking water ready to serve people when they stop by the station.

The parking lot area can accommodate hundreds of cars. Because the rest stops have just been put into temporary operation, new restrooms and temporary parking areas have been created.

Currently, these stations do not have gas stations, so drivers should remember to refuel before entering the highway.

In addition to temporary rest stops, at highway intersections there are gas stations and rest stops serving travelers.

The 100.1km Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway through Binh Thuan province is planned to have two rest stops at Km 205+092 and Km 144+560.

The winning investor for the rest stop at Km 205+092 is the Thanh Thanh Nam - Chau Thanh - Viet Han - Saigon Investment - Thanh Thanh Cong Lam Dong Joint Venture.

Rest stop at Km 47+500, Phan Thiet - Dau Giay Expressway, won the bid by FUTABUSLINES - Thanh Hiep Phat Joint Venture for construction, business and operation.
