On January 2, the Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang tourist beaches, the Management Board of Construction Investment Projects (QLDA ĐTXD) of agricultural works and rural development in Da Nang mobilized forces to handle landslides at My Khe beach (Phuoc My ward, Son Tra district).

Over the past few days, large waves have eroded many coastal tourist areas in Da Nang. The most serious landslide is a section of more than 100m of My Khe beach, in Phuoc My ward (Son Tra district).

This morning, forces were busy making sandbags and steel cages to create a barrier to prevent waves from hitting My Khe beach - known as "one of the 6 most attractive beaches on the planet".

In the immediate future, units will coordinate to build sandbag embankments to limit landslides caused by waves.
