Hanoi FC coach Kiatisuk Senamuang praised captain Nguyen Quang Hai after he helped Hanoi Police avoid defeat against Ha Tinh in round 12 of the V-League 2023-2024.
At Hang Day Stadium, Quang Hai scored the equalizer with a volley from outside the penalty area in the first minute of added time in the second half against Ha Tinh. He then ran towards the coaching staff and hugged coach Kiatisuk to celebrate. After the match, the Thai coach praised Quang Hai's performance, saying he played very effectively and demonstrated his role as captain.
"He moves around a lot, both attacking and defending, like an extension of my arm on the field," said coach Kiatisuk.
He then added that Quang Hai, Ho Tan Tai, and Bui Hoang Viet Anh – who were chosen as captains – play a crucial role for CAHN. "They are well-rounded players, both professionally and mentally," he said. "The captains act as assistants, and we often discuss tactics with them."

Quang Hai has scored five goals in the V-League this season, becoming the top Vietnamese goalscorer currently. Defenders Viet Anh and Ho Tan Tai have also contributed four and three goals respectively for CAHN since the beginning of the season.
The draw against Ha Tinh ended CAHN's four-game winning streak, but still maintained their unbeaten run under Kiatisuk. The coach, born in 1973, assessed that Ha Tinh played solid defense, but CAHN did not underestimate them. However, after conceding a goal from a penalty, his players became impatient.
Commenting on their opponent, Ha Tinh's coach Nguyen Thanh Cong said that CAHN is in good form under Kiatisuk. "He helps the players unleash their full potential," he said. "The most noticeable point is the players' improved performance. Perhaps Kiatisuk is a good fit for CAHN."

Another point gives CAHN 22 points and places them third in the Night Wolf V-League 2023-2024 national championship, but the gap with leaders Nam Dinh has widened to six points. In round 13, CAHN will face The Cong – a team in disappointing form with seven consecutive winless matches. After that, the V-League will take a break to allow the Vietnamese national team to focus on the second round of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
