On the evening of May 19th, Nguyen Linh Na happily announced on her personal page that her long-time boyfriend, Tran Bich Anh, had proposed to her. She wrote: "Thank you for 8 years together, for always being by my side through thick and thin. Thank you for agreeing to postpone the wedding because of my dream of bringing a medal home for the country. Thank you, my comrade and teammate, for always patiently enduring this stubborn girl. Thank you for everything you have done for me."

I hope we will begin a new future together, when I can officially call you my husband. When we build a small home together. When we have children together and live happily until we grow old ."

Tran Bich Anh's boyfriend proposed to athlete Nguyen Linh Na.

Track and field athlete Nguyen Linh Na created a sensation on social media when she won a gold medal in one of the most demanding events, the heptathlon. It wasn't until Linh Na won the gold medal in the 800m race that fans learned she had postponed her wedding plans to dedicate another Games to Vietnamese sports . Linh Na's husband, Tran Bich Anh, is also a soldier in the Vietnam People's Army.

Nguyen Linh Na is the athlete who won the gold medal at the 31st SEA Games right on home soil. She broke the SEA Games record in the women's heptathlon. Linh Na was awarded the title of "Outstanding Young Face" of the Vietnam People's Army in 2022.

Speaking about her future married life, Linh Na confided: " Who can say what the future holds? Maybe I'll become a billionaire, or maybe I'll live a simple life. But I believe that wherever you are, I will always be there. Because when you gave me this ring along with your sincere love of the past 8 years, I felt I had made the right choice in choosing you as my husband."
