The energization ceremony for the power line and substation project supplying electricity to Vàng On village, Trung Minh commune (Yên Sơn district) took place.
The project, with a total investment of 13.5 billion VND, is managed by the Department of Industry and Trade of Tuyen Quang province. It includes the construction of over 5 km of 35kV power lines; the installation of 2 transformer substations with a total capacity of 175kVA - 35/0.4kV; the construction of over 11 km of 0.4kV power lines; and the installation of 145 electricity meters to supply electricity to households, schools, and cultural centers.
Vang On village is 100% ethnic minority, with the Hmong ethnic group accounting for approximately 80%. This is a particularly disadvantaged village in Trung Minh commune, with the highest poverty rate in the commune, at 75%. The provision of national grid electricity just in time for the Lunar New Year will be a driving force for the people in the village to gradually improve their lives.
