Attending the meeting were representatives from the Ministry of Public Security , Ministry of Information and Communications; Ministry of Home Affairs; Vietnam Women's Union; Department of Family, Department of Legislation (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism).

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Trinh Thi Thuy said that the Law on Domestic Violence Prevention and Control was passed by the National Assembly on November 14, 2022 at the 4th Session of the 15th National Assembly.
To promptly and effectively implement the Law on Domestic Violence Prevention and Control, it is necessary to carry out many related tasks such as drafting legal documents detailing the contents assigned in the Law; organizing propaganda and dissemination of legaleducation on the contents of the Law to agencies, organizations and units; developing propaganda documents and instructions on implementing the provisions of the Law.
"These are tasks under the responsibility of ministries, branches and localities. The implementation process requires close coordination of relevant agencies and organizations. Therefore, to ensure timely, unified and effective implementation of the Law, it is necessary to specifically define the work contents, deadlines, completion progress and responsibilities of the chair and coordination of relevant agencies and organizations in organizing the implementation of the Law.
"The issuance of the Prime Minister's Decision on the Plan for implementing the Law on Domestic Violence Prevention and Control is necessary to clearly define the responsibilities of agencies, organizations and units," said Deputy Minister Trinh Thi Thuy.
Delegates comment on the draft Plan
Therefore, at the meeting, the Deputy Minister hoped that representatives of relevant ministries and branches would review the draft Plan, and at the same time, based on the functions and tasks of the ministries and branches, have comments to contribute so that the Plan is closer to reality.
Reporting at the meeting, according to the Department of Family, after the Law on Domestic Violence Prevention and Control was passed by the National Assembly, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism presided over and coordinated with relevant ministries, branches and agencies to draft the Prime Minister's Decision promulgating the Plan to implement the Law on Domestic Violence Prevention and Control.
On August 21, 2023, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism issued Official Dispatch No. 3496/BVHTTDL-GD on providing comments on the draft Decision of the Prime Minister promulgating the Plan to implement the Law on Prevention and Control of Domestic Violence to relevant ministries and branches. Up to now, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has received comments from 10 agencies, of which 04 agencies fully agreed with the draft Plan, 06 agencies agreed to issue the Plan and had comments and additions.

Through the synthesis of opinions, it is shown that the ministries and branches basically agree with the content of the draft Plan for implementing the Law. Based on the comments, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has received, revised and completed the draft Decision to submit to the Prime Minister.
At the meeting, representatives of ministries and branches highly appreciated the development of the draft Plan for implementing the Law on Prevention and Control of Domestic Violence. Based on the practical experience of ministries and branches, delegates contributed specific opinions on the assignment of tasks and changed the wording to be more appropriate.
Deputy Minister Trinh Thi Thuy requested the standing agency to draft a Plan to receive comments, edit and complete the Plan to submit to the Government for promulgation this year./.
