From the third prize of the 25th Army Youth Creative Award, the third prize of the Military-level Olympic Contest on Marxist-Leninist Science, Ho Chi Minh Thought and Political -Social Awareness to the outstanding achievements in studying and training, Pham Cao Long has shown his tireless efforts and desire to become an excellent Naval Officer who masters knowledge and the sea, and together with the naval youth, confidently embarks on the digital age, the era of prosperous development of the country.

Born and raised in the heart of the port city of Hai Phong - the forefront of the Northeast of the Fatherland, where every person is imbued with the spirit of the sea, Pham Cao Long was soon instilled with a strong love for the sea. The sound of waves, the image of ships breaking through the waves, flocks of seagulls flying across the sky and bustling ports planted in the young man's heart a great aspiration: to become a knowledgeable Navy officer to contribute to protecting the sacred sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.

Sergeant Pham Cao Long is a typical example in the learning movement, especially in his passion for scientific research. With the spirit of "Youthful and creative", he has constantly researched and applied new technology, designed and manufactured vivid simulation models of theoretical lessons to serve the learning at the Naval Academy.

In 2025, the initiative "Single-phase Xexin Practice Table" led by Pham Cao Long and his team members won the third prize in the 25th Creative Youth Award in the Army. Previously, with this initiative, Long and his teammates won the third prize, the Nguyen Phan Vinh Award of the Navy, the first prize in the Science and Technology Innovation Competition for young cadres, lecturers and students at the Academy level, and was widely applied in teaching at the Naval Academy.

What is more valuable is that during that research journey, Long always maintained a strong political stance and pure moral qualities, clearly demonstrating the qualities of "Uncle Ho's Soldier - Navy Soldier" in the new era.

As a fellow student and classmate, Sergeant Le Trung Hoang said: “Living and studying with Pham Cao Long, I always clearly feel his enthusiasm, responsibility and constant creativity, always wholeheartedly helping his classmates to strive to improve in their studies and training. As a Youth Union officer, Long is always active and proactive in proposing many practical activities, creating a useful learning environment, helping the unit to be united, enthusiastic and progressive. Comrade Long has represented the unit many times to participate in programs and competitions at many levels and has always achieved excellent results, contributing to affirming the intelligence, bravery and beautiful image of Naval Academy students”.

As an exemplary class cadre, a union cadre full of enthusiasm, dynamism and closeness to his comrades; always taking the lead in shock movements, volunteering, and propagating political and ideological education in the unit. Long always maintains a positive source of energy to inspire his comrades and teammates, thanks to which he has reaped sweet fruits such as: Honored to be the youngest delegate to attend the 9th Congress of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the Navy, awarded a certificate of merit by the Steering Committee for Blood Donation Movement of Khanh Hoa province; certificate of merit by the Central Committee of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union; certificate of merit by the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army; title of "Outstanding Union Cadre" at the Naval Academy level.

In addition, Sergeant Pham Cao Long is also a typical face of the Academy in many political theory activities and learning movements in the unit. With a serious learning spirit and innovative thinking, Long has achieved high results in many major competitions: Third prize in the Oratory competition at the Olympic subjects of Marxism-Leninism, Ho Chi Minh thought and political and social awareness at the army level in 2024; C prize in the "Youth of the army respects the law" contest; C prize in the writing contest "Learning about the tradition of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day". These achievements not only affirm personal capacity, but also demonstrate the depth of awareness and steadfast political will of a young soldier with noble ideals.
