According to VGC , since its launch, the wizarding game Hogwarts Legacy has had a relatively smooth operation. Released on February 10 this year, the game easily achieved the title of bestseller in Europe in the first half of 2023.
However, Hogwarts Legacy 's sales have been declining over time, causing it to no longer top the charts in the UK, as of last week it was sitting at number 8. But things have changed completely since the Switch version was released on November 14, with the game now back at the top of the charts, reports GamesIndustry.biz.
Hogwarts Legacy Returns to Top of the Charts After Release on Switch
Hogwarts Legacy's return to the top spot means that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III , last week's best-selling physical game, has fallen to second place after a week-on-week decline of around 40%. The jump also sees EA Sports FC 24 drop from second to third, while Spider-Man 2 remains in fourth place and Super Mario Wonder drops to fifth.
Hogwarts Legacy for Switch has been released after 9 months of release on other platforms. This version has been delayed twice, originally scheduled to be released on July 25. The new version is tweaked to suit Switch with reduced graphics, support for handheld mode and especially Vietnamese language support.
Overall, the Switch version of Hogwarts Legacy is a good choice for Harry Potter fans who want to experience the game on a handheld device.
