On the morning of April 3, the Standing Committee of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Fatherland Front Committee held a conference to deploy the work in 2025 of the Advisory Council (AC) of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee. Comrade Pham Thi Thanh Thuy, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee chaired the conference.

The Provincial Fatherland Front Committee currently has four Advisory Councils: the Council on Democracy and Law, the Council on Ethnic Minorities and Religion, the Council on Economy and Society, and the Council on National Defense and Security. Based on the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee's unified action plan for 2025 and the operational regulations of the Advisory Councils for the 2024-2029 term, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee has developed a plan for the Advisory Councils' activities in 2025, including key tasks such as: researching and advising the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee on proposals and recommendations to supplement and improve state laws, focusing on draft laws and ordinances to be amended and supplemented in 2025, in accordance with the realities of life and local conditions.

Research, provide feedback, and propose solutions to further innovate and improve the quality of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee's activities, as well as the activities of the Advisory Councils and Advisory Boards of the Fatherland Front Committees at all levels. Provide advice on understanding and reflecting the people's thoughts and public opinion in the province; propose opinions and recommendations from voters and the people on issues within the jurisdiction of the National Assembly , the Provincial People's Council, and the Provincial People's Committee; contribute to the draft announcement of the Fatherland Front's participation in government building; and summarize the opinions and recommendations of voters at the Provincial People's Council sessions. Participate in the monitoring and social critique activities of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee. Attend specialized conferences and seminars organized by the Standing Committee of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee.

At the conference, many opinions were exchanged and suggestions were made frankly regarding the key tasks for 2025 aimed at improving the effectiveness of the Advisory Council's operations. These included continuing to in-depth research, understanding, gathering, and selecting opinions and recommendations from all segments of the population in the province on issues of social concern in the field of constitutional and legal implementation. Participating in providing input for amendments to the Constitution and several related laws, especially the Law on Government Organization, the Law on Local Government Organization, and other laws, in order to implement the Party and State's policy on streamlining the apparatus; strengthening the critical and supervisory functions of the Advisory Councils; and proactively developing plans to survey and monitor the implementation of national defense and security tasks at the grassroots level...

Concluding the conference, Comrade Pham Thi Thanh Thuy, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee thanked the valuable, intellectual, enthusiastic and responsible contributions of the members of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee.
To further enhance the effectiveness of the Advisory Councils in participating in Party and government building, implementing democracy, representing and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of the people, the Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee requested that the Advisory Councils closely adhere to the activity program of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and the Regulations on the operation of the Advisory Councils to develop specific, effective activity plans that are consistent with the functions and tasks of the Front's work and the local and grassroots realities, especially regarding some new and pressing issues that are of public concern.
Furthermore, the Advisory Councils need to continue innovating the content and methods of their advisory activities, creating significant changes in various fields, ensuring quality, consistency, and uniformity. They should listen to, understand the situation, and gather opinions, thoughts, and aspirations of the people to promptly synthesize, reflect, and advise the Standing Committee of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee for consideration and recommendations to competent authorities to resolve, amend, supplement, and overcome existing shortcomings and limitations, thereby protecting the legitimate rights and interests of citizens, promoting democracy, and strengthening the people's trust in the Party and the State.
