Vietnam and Thailand Friendship Associations agree on many new cooperation programs

On the occasion of attending the activities celebrating the 80th anniversary of Vietnam's National Day in Hanoi, the delegation of the Thailand - Vietnam Friendship Association led by President Sanan Angubolkul had a working session with Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh, President of the Vietnam - Thailand Friendship Association, agreeing on many cooperation plans in the coming time.

At the invitation of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations, Mr. Sanan Angubolkul, President of the Thailand - Vietnam Friendship Association, and his delegation came to Hanoi to attend activities celebrating the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam from August 31 to September 2.

On this occasion, Senior Lieutenant General, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Thanh, former member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council, Chairman of the Vietnam - Thailand Friendship Association chaired the reception and worked with the delegation.

Mr. Sanan Angubolkul expressed his joy at witnessing the joyful atmosphere of the Vietnamese people during the great national holidays, and was impressed with Vietnam's achievements in economic, cultural and social development under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam .

Leaders of the two Associations discussed and agreed on many cooperation activities from now until the end of the year and in 2026, including: Exchange of working delegations, cooperation in human resource training, and organization of sports exchanges to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Thailand.

In particular, the two sides plan to hold the 14th annual rotating meeting in Hai Phong city in early December 2025.
