Training conference on professional procedures for the comprehensive inventory of public assets at agencies, organizations, and units, and infrastructure assets invested in and managed by the state.

On October 13-14, 2024, the Department of Finance, in coordination with the Department of Public Assets Management, Ministry of Finance, organized two training courses, with over 900 officials and employees from provincial departments, agencies, and public service units; districts, cities, and communes, wards, and towns participating. Representatives from the Department's leadership and professional staff attended the conference.

In his opening remarks at the conference, Mr. Pham Quy Duong, Deputy Director of the Department, stated: The training course aims to update knowledge and skills in conducting a comprehensive inventory of public assets for all units in a synchronized and unified manner. This will allow for the assessment and understanding of the current state of public assets at agencies, organizations, and units, including infrastructure assets invested and managed by the State, in terms of quantity, value, structure, and current usage. This will serve as a basis for improving policies and laws on the management and use of public assets; support the development of strategies and plans for socio -economic development of the locality; and facilitate reporting on the management and use of public assets, providing information for the preparation of state financial reports and reports on the practice of saving and combating waste as prescribed by law.

Over two days, the conference heard presentations from lecturers Tran Thi Thu Ha - Chief of Office and specialists from the Department of Public Asset Management, Ministry of Finance , on the implementation of the project for the comprehensive inventory of public assets at agencies, organizations, and units, including infrastructure assets invested and managed by the State. The participants understood the viewpoints, objectives, and methods; the principles of inventory; specific instructions on how to fill out inventory forms; and guidance on using public asset inventory software.

At the conclusion of the conference, the trainees had grasped the content, viewpoints, objectives, methods, and principles of inventory, as well as data entry on the public asset management software. This enabled them to implement the plan in their agencies and units in accordance with the Prime Minister 's Decision and the Provincial People's Committee's Plan.
