In his speech reviewing the glorious 98-year tradition of Vietnamese Revolutionary Journalism, Comrade Nguyen Tien Vu, Editor-in-Chief of Bac Ninh Newspaper and Chairman of the Provincial Journalists Association, affirmed: Along with the continuous and strong development of journalism nationwide, Bac Ninh journalism has always received the attention, leadership, and guidance of the Party Committee, government, and people of the province. Regardless of the circumstances or revolutionary period, it has always upheld its principles and objectives, affirming the role and mission of revolutionary journalism, making important contributions to the overall achievements of the province as well as the country.

Building on the 98-year tradition of Vietnamese revolutionary journalism, journalists in the province are strengthening unity and cohesion, maintaining political orientation, so that journalism always deserves to be an important tool of the Party, a powerful means of ideological work, and makes positive contributions to the development of the homeland and the country.
During the commemorative event celebrating the 98th anniversary of Vietnamese Revolutionary Journalism, the Provincial Journalists Association held a ceremony to summarize and present awards to the authors and groups of authors who won the Ngo Gia Tu Journalism Award in 2022.
For the 2022 Ngo Gia Tu Journalism Award, the judging panel received 141 entries, including works and groups of works, from over 100 individual authors and groups of authors. This year saw the highest number of entries ever. The submitted works were of high quality, comprehensively reflecting the events and political tasks of the country and the province across various aspects of social life.

Through the preliminary and final rounds, 46 works were selected and awarded prizes. Of these, Group A (Categories including Feature Stories, Reports, Investigations, Commentary, Journalistic Essays, Documentaries, and Radio/Television Programs) received 25 awards, including 2 First Prizes, 4 Second Prizes, 7 Third Prizes, and 12 Consolation Prizes. Group B (Categories including Feature Articles, Photojournalism, Interviews, Good People - Good Deeds, Studying and Following the Ideology, Morality, and Style of Ho Chi Minh , and Short Radio/Television Reports) received 21 awards, including 1 First Prize, 4 Second Prizes, 6 Third Prizes, and 10 Consolation Prizes.
At the meeting, the leaders of the Provincial Journalists Association launched the campaign to encourage participation in the 8th National Journalism Award on Party Building (Golden Hammer and Sickle Award) in 2023 to media agencies, officials, and members.
