The Women's Union of the Border Guard of Da Nang City promotes proactive spirit in work

With the consent of the Party Committee and the Command of the Border Guard of Da Nang City, on the afternoon of October 16, the Women's Union of the Border Guard of Da Nang City organized the 1st Women's Congress, term 2025-2030. Colonel Hoang Van Man, Political Commissar of the Border Guard of Da Nang City attended and directed the conference. Also attending was comrade Tran Thi Thuy Ha, Member of the Standing Committee, Deputy Head of the Women's Affairs Committee of Da Nang City.

The report at the congress said that in the period of 2021-2025, under the direct leadership and direction of the Party Committee and the Provincial Border Guard Command (now the City Border Guard Party Committee and Command), and the guidance of the superior professional agencies, the women's work and the women's movement of the City Border Guard have achieved comprehensive results.

The Women's Union of the Border Guard of Da Nang City has performed well the key tasks, including: Building a team of cadres and members with comprehensive development, constantly improving political capacity, strictly abiding by the law and discipline, and completing tasks well; supporting cadres and members in developing family economy, cultivating good values of Vietnamese families, building happy families; building a strong Union organization, effectively implementing gender equality, participating in building a strong and clean Party organization, and a strong and comprehensive agency and unit.

In the period of 2021-2025, the Women's Union of the Border Guard of Da Nang City has called on and mobilized agencies, business units, and philanthropists to join in organizing border-oriented activities such as: "Warm Winter Coats" Program, "Border Spring Warms the Hearts of the Villagers"; "Border - Full Moon Festival Night", Movement "Border Guards Join Hands for the Poor - No One Left Behind"; "Accompanying Border Women", "Zero-Dong Stall", "Godmother" Model, "Golden Heart Piggy Bank", "Bowl of Charity Porridge"... Thereby, 15 "Border Warm Homes" houses were mobilized, 1,000 gifts, 120 solar lamps, 350 scholarships, 2,000 warm coats, 1,000 notebooks, 120 bicycles, 2 playgrounds for children... worth nearly 3 billion VND.

Colonel Nguyen Huu Thieu, Deputy Political Commissar of the Da Nang City Border Guard, awarded Certificates of Merit to individuals for their outstanding achievements in implementing association activities and women's movements.

On behalf of the Party Committee and the Command of the Border Guard of Da Nang City, Colonel Hoang Van Man hopes that in the coming time, the members will continue to inherit and promote the tradition of solidarity, creativity, humanity, development, and building an increasingly strong Association, contributing to building a strong and comprehensive city Border Guard force.

At the Congress, delegates contributed opinions to the draft report summarizing the work of the association and the women's movement of the Border Guard for the period 2021-2025; the draft report to be submitted to the 14th National Women's Congress, term 2026-2030; and proposed amendments and supplements to the Association's Charter.

The Congress announced the decision of the Party Committee and the Command of the Border Guard of Da Nang City to appoint the Executive Committee of the Women's Union of the Border Guard of Da Nang City consisting of 3 comrades.
