In his opening remarks at the seminar, Comrade Tong Quang Thin, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and Co-Head of the Organizing Committee of the Seminar, affirmed: The life and career of Emperor Dinh Tien Hoang are closely linked to the process of unifying the country and forming the first centralized feudal state in the history of the nation, strongly affirming the will for national revival based on independence, self-reliance, and self-strength. The great historical stature and national aspiration for independence, unity, and a powerful nation, as expressed through the life and career of Emperor Dinh Tien Hoang and the Dai Co Viet State, have become a precious asset and an important material and spiritual resource for Ninh Binh province, the nation, and the people. The life and career of Emperor Dinh Tien Hoang and the Dinh and Early Le dynasties have left a vast system of heritage for Ninh Binh in particular and the whole country in general, not only rich in quantity and diverse in type but also very unique in value.

Currently, Ninh Binh possesses thousands of tangible and intangible cultural heritage sites, including 324 provincial-level relics, 78 national-level relics, 3 special national-level relics, and 1 World Cultural and Natural Heritage site (Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex). The heritage related to King Dinh Tien Hoang, the Dinh Dynasty, and the Dai Co Viet State is always preserved, cherished, and maintained in its relatively intact state by Ninh Binh province. This includes architectural works, hundreds of temples, pagodas, shrines, palaces, city walls, palace foundations, etc., most notably the Hoa Lu Ancient Capital Special National Relic Site, national treasures such as the Buddhist scripture column at Nhat Tru Pagoda, the two dragon beds at the Temple of King Dinh Tien Hoang, the two sets of ceremonial robes at the Temple of King Dinh and King Le, and the collection of Buddhist scripture columns from the Dinh Dynasty at the Ninh Binh Museum; along with a system of festivals, cultural activities, worship rituals, beliefs, customs, and traditions. A treasure trove of legends, poetry, folk music and dance; political and diplomatic experiences; the heroic spirit of Hoa Lu; the unwavering dedication that led to the great achievements of King Dinh and our ancestors...

Throughout history, the nation's precious heritage has been continuously preserved, enhanced, and enriched, remaining present in daily life as a spiritual foundation, invaluable asset, and strategic resource for Ninh Binh's sustainable development. Thanks to this, Ninh Binh has been and continues to be a highly attractive cultural destination and space, possessing strong potential and advantages to build and develop a millennium heritage city in the future.

The legacy of Emperor Dinh Tien Hoang and the Dai Co Viet State – the first centralized feudal state in Vietnam – holds significant importance in the historical trajectory of the Vietnamese nation. It is a source of pride for the Party Committee, government, and people of Ninh Binh province. Therefore, the preservation and promotion of its value must continue to be implemented with greater intensity and scale, in a more systematic manner, requiring the participation of managers, researchers, socio-political organizations, and the community… so that the heritage of our ancestors truly becomes a resource and driving force in the development of our homeland and country.

The scientific conference "Dinh Tien Hoang: Historical Significance and National Aspiration" was attended by numerous experts, scientists, and administrators from the central and local levels. This was also an opportunity for Ninh Binh province to hear scientific and historical research reports, objective discussions, and critiques aimed at further supplementing and clarifying the life, career, and contributions of King Dinh Tien Hoang in particular and the Dinh Dynasty in general to national history; and to propose directions and solutions for managing and promoting the heritage values of the ancient capital of Hoa Lu - Ninh Binh, contributing to building Ninh Binh province into a centrally-governed city by 2035 with the characteristics of a heritage city and a creative city.
