Scientific workshop on implementing the Law on Democracy at Grassroots Level

This morning, April 25, Le Duan Political School organized a scientific workshop on "Implementing the Law on Democracy at the Grassroots Level in Quang Tri Province".

The report introducing the workshop stated that the Law on Implementing Democracy at the Grassroots Level is an important political and legal foundation for the Party and State to continue to improve guidelines, policies and laws on democracy in general, and democracy at the grassroots level in particular, thereby contributing to improving democratic institutions. Implementing democratic laws in communes, wards, towns, public service units and enterprises is also the basis for maintaining political security and social order and safety.

The promulgation of the Law on Grassroots Democracy is a solid foundation for the practice and widespread promotion of socialist democracy, the people's right to mastery and self-management role, continuing to affirm and contribute to better and more effectively implementing the motto "People know, people discuss, people do, people inspect, people supervise, people benefit".

With the function of training and fostering the cadres, civil servants and public employees of the province on the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, and being a scientific research agency, summarizing local practices, the scientific workshop "Implementing the Law on Democracy at the Grassroots in Quang Tri Province" was organized to have an overview of the implementation of this law in the country in general and in the province in particular.

On that basis, to disseminate and equip knowledge about the content of this law in teaching and learning, thereby continuing to actively contribute to the construction and perfection of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam's rule of law state.

The presentations at the workshop focused on clarifying the results of disseminating, thoroughly grasping and implementing the Law on Grassroots Democracy in the province, tasks and solutions in the coming time; the Law on Grassroots Democracy - an important legal tool to ensure the people's right to mastery; the rights and obligations of citizens in the Law on Grassroots Democracy.

The workshop helps the school's staff, lecturers and students have more useful information to serve their teaching, research and study.

At the same time, it provides valid theoretical bases as well as practical issues that arise, contributing to the serious, methodical and creative implementation of the Law on Grassroots Democracy in order to promote the people's mastery, create consensus and promote the strength of the entire people in building and developing the country.
