This is one of the activities within the framework of the Hung Kings' Commemoration Festival in 2025, to commemorate the merits of the Hung Kings and promote the nation's tradition of "remembering the source of water when drinking water".

This year's competition attracted 23 teams, representing departments, branches, organizations, schools, tourism businesses and religious establishments in Da Lat city. Each team brought to the competition space not only creativity in installation art but also a sincere heart to the National Ancestors - those who opened up the borders and built the country from the dawn of national history.

Each offering conveys sincere respect to the National Ancestor.

From traditional ingredients such as banh chung, banh giay, banh khao ngu sac, banh troi, fresh flowers and local specialty fruits, the teams have invested carefully in both the form and content of the presentation. The offerings are elaborately designed, with a tight layout, expressing the national spirit and regional culture; at the same time, conveying good wishes for national peace and prosperity, favorable weather and a prosperous country.

Many teams created maps of Vietnam, Dong Son bronze drums, dragons, phoenixes, and flagpoles using flowers, leaves, and fruits with sophisticated arrangements, expressing cultural depth and national pride. Small details such as traditional patterns, the colors of offerings, and the way cakes are arranged were also carefully considered, ensuring both aesthetics and high symbolism.

Notably, the offerings are not just for show but also imbued with profound cultural messages. If banh chung and banh giay symbolize heaven and earth, then the colors of flowers and fruits symbolize the sincerity, warmth and fullness that today’s generation wants to offer to their ancestors.

According to the representative of the Organizing Committee, the goal of the contest is not only to create a meaningful cultural activity on the occasion of the death anniversary of the ancestors, but also to arouse the spirit of solidarity, raise public awareness of preserving and promoting national cultural values. Thereby, generations, especially the youth, will understand better, be more proud and be more responsible for the heritage left by their ancestors.

At the end of the competition, the best trays of offerings will be selected as the official offerings to the Hung Kings in the Ancestor Commemoration Ceremony at Au Lac Temple. This is not only a reward for their diligence and creativity, but also a sincere gratitude from the people of Lam Dong to their ancestors.
