The competition was launched on April 26th with two rounds: the preliminary round and the final round. The preliminary round takes place over 12 weeks - corresponding to 3 stages of competition on the online platform at: tuyengiaothudo.com.vn.

After 3 months of implementation, the preliminary round of the competition attracted 1,309,374 participants. Phase 3, from 8:00 AM on July 1st to 11:00 PM on July 31st, 2024, with the theme "A Vast New Road," was particularly vibrant, attracting 539,807 participants. The competition spread widely, attracting many contestants from other provinces and cities, and many achieved high rankings (including Binh Duong, Thanh Hoa, Soc Trang , Can Tho, and Ho Chi Minh City).
The organizers announced that a meeting to grade and evaluate the essay submissions will be held immediately after the completion of phase 3 of the competition. Sixteen contestants will be selected to participate in the final round at the city level: 12 first-place winners from the 12 weeks of the competition and 4 contestants with the best essay answers (as judged by the Judging Panel).
The final round of the competition is scheduled to take place at the end of August 2024 in a "stage performance" format. The 16 finalists will draw lots to be divided into 4 teams, each with 4 members, participating in 4 competition segments.
Acknowledging and commending the participation of individuals and units in phase 3, Hanoi Youth Union Secretary Chu Hong Minh requested that contestants prepare their content and allocate time for practice to participate in the upcoming final round effectively. Units should continue to promote awareness through visual and social media platforms, widely disseminating the meaningful humanistic values of the competition.

At the event, the organizing committee awarded first, second, and third prizes for the four weeks of phase 3 to outstanding contestants; and presented a special prize to Quoc Oai district - the unit with the highest number of participants in phase 3 of the competition with 53,599 entries.
Regarding the individual awards in phase 3, the First Prize was awarded to Dinh Ha Le, a civil servant at the Statistics Office of Hang Ma Ward, Hoan Kiem District; the Second Prize was awarded to Nguyen Thi Hoai Thu, an official at the Culture, Information and Sports Center of Thuong Tin District; and the Third Prize was awarded to Tran Thi Quynh, Deputy Head of the Mass Mobilization Department of the Hoan Kiem District Party Committee.
