A study by the Ministry of Health estimates that approximately 7.7% of couples of reproductive age experience infertility or difficulty conceiving.
However, the infertility rate in Vietnam may currently exceed 10%, with an estimated 2 million couples in Vietnam facing difficulties in conceiving.
Up to 40% of infertility cases are caused by men, 40% by women, and the remaining 20% are due to both partners or have unknown causes.
Dr. Tran Van Thuan, Director of Professional Services at Gia Dinh General Hospital, emphasized that the rate of infertility in Vietnam is currently high, and one of the causes is environmental factors and lifestyle habits.
According to Dr. Ho Manh Tuong, children are a crucial element in bringing together and happiness to families in Vietnam. Therefore, early and effective treatment is very important.
Furthermore, the likelihood of pregnancy and the effectiveness of treatment depend heavily on the wife's age. Delaying treatment will significantly impact the couple's chances of having children. Currently, new treatment protocols, applying modern technologies, have significantly improved the success rate.
