Officials and residents of Phong Thai ward came to donate blood voluntarily on the morning of October 15.

The program took place at Nguyen Dinh Chieu High School - Bo Dien residential group, attracting more than 230 cadres, civil servants, public employees, union members and local people to register to donate blood.

The Organizing Committee has arranged a reasonable time for each area: Pho Ninh, Thuong An 1, Bo Dien, Thuong An 2, Dong An, Phuong Hop, Dong Lam, Vinh Hung communes donated from 8-9 am; An Lo, Hien Luong, Cao Xa, Son Tung, Gia Vien, La Van, Bac Trieu Vinh, Hung Long, Thuong Hoa communes donated from 9-10 am; Dong Da, Hien Sy, Co Bi 1, Co Bi 2, Co Bi 3, Phe Tu, Son Qua, Thanh Tan, Tu Chanh, Pho Lai, Hien An, Cong Thanh communes donated starting from 10 am on the same day.

At the end of the blood donation session, the organizing committee received more than 200 units of blood, exceeding the target. All collected blood was transferred to the City Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center to serve emergency and treatment for patients.

The voluntary blood donation movement in Phong Thai ward over the years has become a beautiful humane feature, contributing to spreading the noble gesture of "Living is giving" in the community.
