The overall objective of the project is to enhance access to adaptive infrastructure services and improve the capacity for planning and managing adaptive development in response to natural disaster risks in the project implementation areas.

The project will be implemented in the districts of Duy Xuyen, Thang Binh, Nui Thanh, and the city of Tam Ky.

The project will involve dredging the Truong Giang River, investing in a flood control complex in Tam Ky City, constructing several new bridges across the Truong Giang River, building a lighting system for the bridges and access roads with a total lighting length of over 2.7 km, and organizing the removal and disposal of old bridges.

The project has a total investment of over 2.7 trillion VND, of which construction costs account for over 1.6 trillion VND. The project's investment capital comes from ODA loans (from the World Bank) of over 1.8 trillion VND, and counterpart funding of approximately 884 billion VND. The project implementation period is from 2022 to 2027.
